Grown by the respected Mierisch family, Finca Los Placeres sits in the Jinotega region of Nicaragua — an area known for its lush, high-elevation terrain and excellent coffee-growing conditions. The farm, part of the Fincas Mierisch network, is deeply rooted in sustainability, innovation, and multi-generational expertise in specialty coffee cultivation.
This lot features Red Bourbon, a traditional variety prized for its sweetness and round body. But what sets it apart is the “Funky Natural” process — an extended and experimental natural fermentation that amplifies fruit intensity and pushes the boundaries of traditional Nicaraguan profiles. Carefully dried on raised beds and monitored closely, this method encourages wild, expressive aromatics and a bold, unfiltered personality in the cup.
The result is a standout micro-lot that reflects both the terroir of Los Placeres and the progressive approach of the Mierisch team.
